Sample Policy
Here at Convicted for Grape, we drink a lot of wine – or to put it more accurately, I drink a lot of wine. But can you blame me? Wine is a big world, containing thousands of grapes to explore and millions of puns to devise; I doubt I’ll ever be at a loss for wines to write about.
That being said, I am happy to accept press samples from wineries and importers. Just be sure to familiarize yourself with my official policy:
“If you should seek to send me wine,
I do attest, that were divine!
In gratitude, I guarantee
Review of wines addressed to me.
But ere you send your bottled gold,
Beware! take care that you are bold:
Prepared for my proclivity
To drink with objectivity.
My ratings will reflect the truth
(As I perceive it, in my youth)
And shan’t be subject to inflation,
Lest I wreck my reputation.
However, if you stand with pride
Behind the wine you’ve vinified,
An e-mail is the swiftest way
To let me know that you’d like to send me a press sample.”

Oh, and in case you’re not entirely clear on my policy (which I’ll admit is written in rather obfuscatory legalese), the deal is this: I’ll review any wines you may care to send me, but I’m going to review them honestly. So, are you feeling lucky?
